Rina Rubin
LCSW
Rina Rubin (AKA The Playful Anchor) is a licensed clinical social worker who is passionate about her work with children and their families. Combining a child-centered play therapy approach along with theories of development, relationships, and family systems, Rina aims to support children in expressing their worlds through their natural language of play. Rina utilizes research- and evidence-based principles to guide children in understanding, exploring, and processing their experiences. Rina is experienced and trained in treating children who experience anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, ADHD, autism, trauma, and life transitions such as divorce, grief, medical events, and educational changes. As Garry Landreth, the "father" of child-centered play therapy, said, "Toys are children's words and play is their language" — Rina takes you along your child's journey in understanding who they are and their role in this world.
